Upcoming: Fear Or Lie In Wait

I am seeking representation for my suspense-thriller novel FEAR OR LIE IN WAIT,

complete at 70,000 words (and with series potential).

When Morgan finds out that her boss, Christian, is the kingpin of an identity-theft ring,

she’s convinced to become an FBI informant. The Bureau sends her to Christian’s mansion

to snoop for clues, and Morgan finds a young woman, Olena, handcuffed to a generator.

Christian covers his tracks, and the FBI don’t have enough evidence to arrest him, though

Christian now knows where Morgan’s loyalties reside, which puts her in grave danger.

Soon after, Morgan becomes romantically involved with Billy Ray, the special agent

assigned to protect her. The FBI tells Morgan to continue her life like normal and sends her

to London. When one of her nightmares of an Englishman trying to kill her comes true,

Morgan finds out that Christian, along with his partner, Dr. Furstein, were able to tap into

her dreams using a machine called the “Dream Catcher,” which she thinks is a monitoring

device but ends up being something much darker.

After the FBI discovers lewd pictures on the darknet advertising Olena for sexual services,

they link Christian to a sex-trafficking ring and learn that he’s hiding out in Colombia.

Christian is eventually captured, though Billy Ray is killed leaving Morgan heartbroken.

Even though the trafficking ring is brought down, Dr. Furstein and his new recruit, Wyatt,

are still on a quest to end Morgan’s life. The FBI puts Morgan in the Victim and Witness

Protection Program, but Dr. Furstein and Wyatt track her down. They break into her home

and hold Morgan and her neighbor captive. After a few suspenseful days, officers raid

Morgan’s home and bring the perpetrators to justice. Though even with Dr. Furstein and

Wyatt in prison, there is no certainty that Morgan will ever be safe from these evildoers and

their Dream Catcher.

FEAR OR LIE IN WAIT will appeal to fans of books such as The Silent Patient and

Stillhouse Lake series.
